The pupils at Berkswell Primary School have been exploring the work of the African Oyster Trust through their Harvest Festival project. Volunteers from the Trust visited the school in October to tell all the pupils and staff about the work we do in the Gambia. The school then adopted the Trust as their Harvest Festival project. After watching two of our videos, each pupil drew a picture capturing their thoughts on what we do and what it might be like to be a Gambian pupil at one of the African Oyster Trust schools. The pictures were a kaleidoscope of colour and packed full of brilliant ideas. Three winners – Anna (Juniors), Ava-Rae (Infants), and Laci (Reception) – were presented with prizes at the school’s harvest festival service. Thank you to everyone who took part at Berkswell Primary Schoool.
